Wonderworks

Wonderworks is an interactive science museum, a little like questacon in Canberra but with a few different things and it is an old experimental lab that got blown up in an experiment and landed here in Orlando - upside down! Of course I know that is not true, but it was cool for the children to see an upside down building then, all the upside down things inside. We all expected it to be a little cheesy, but it turned out to be a great way to spend half a day, then an evening too. We caught the IRide. A 'trolley' that travels up and down International Drive, where the resort (and many attractions) was conveniently located which made getting about very cheap and easy.

possiby 15 minutes of the most fund we have all had ever...Lazer Tag. All 9 children loved it, some proved better shots than others, some proved better targets than others, but we all laughed alot and enjoyed ourselves.

This fellow was hillarious. He put on a magic comedy show and had us laughing so much we ached. Uncle T, D and I all became 'volunteers' from the Audience. In this firts photo the magician had put on a costume and was a 'red neck plumber" with missing teeth, a beer gut and a but crack. He proceeded to make 20 or so crack jokes. I had to tape his thumbs together and then throw the toilet seats at him which he caught by some how pasing them through his hands - which were aparently taped together!! However he did it, it was very funny and we all had a great evening.

D and I tried the Bed of Nails. It was actually pretty freaky. You start of on a plastic sheet which is full of nail wholes. Then they slowly lower the sheet and you slowly feel the presure of hte nails increase. Whilst you can easily lay there it becomes increasingly uncomfortable and very prickly on teh bony parts like sholder blades and hips.

We could step into this space suit and it looked just like we were REAL astromauts...can't tell that we are not on the moon!

A hall of mirrors, had the children amused for ages. Partiularly when one of us grown ups appeared distorted.

This was so funny, a tornado size wind.

The children (well ok all of us) had to work out how many pullies made lifting our own weight the easiest.
