It is with pleasure that we announce the safe arrival of our 5 Painted Lady butterfly's. Yesterday we were out, when we got home we noticed that one of the butterfly's had arrived, within a few minutes there was another one, this morning a third, then by 10am the other two were out as well. I am so glad that it worked, much more successful than our ant farm and worth trying again. We will keep them for a couple of days, feeding them oranges pieces and sugar water, then we'll release them. We could keep them for a few weeks, they'd lay eggs and we'd have more caterpillers and so it goes, but we'd have to find caterpillar food, so we'll let them go to finish their life in the big outdoors.
