Merry Christmas

We started our Christmas celebrations with lunch here on Christmas Eve Eve! for our dear friends, these folks were here in NY to welcome us a year ago and have been very good friends to us. We really have not seen enough of them but it was so good to get together at last.

I made Curry!! actually nine dishes, it was so yummy. I love having loads of different tastes and Indian food is a really easy way to do this, everything just cooks away by itself and all comes together in the end. It is also easy to do ahead of time and reheat. I love it.

Our friends invited us for dinner and drinks on Christmas Eve, it was very fun. I think there were 11 children all together and this made it rather hectic. Apart from our W who knows exactly which buttons to push with all the girls(and he does it in such a butter wouldn't melt in my mouth way whilst they just can't help their hysterical reaction) the children played well. We had a lovely curry dinner and a pleasant glass or two of white wine. This photos was taken at the end of the night when I remembered to pull the camera out of my pocket.

J skyped us from Adelaide on Christmas Eve and we got to see them all open their pressie from us, that was so cool. Here are a couple of photos of us, and them on their Christmas Morning.

Our Christmas Day was quiet, just the 5 of us which was nice. We managed to stretch the present opening out to 12.30. It was so nice to not have a paper fest for 20 minutes and then the anti climax of having opened it all so quickly. It was also nice for the children to actually look at and play with their presents. We also watched J's High School Musical Two DVD in between. I hope we have created a new Christmas Day Family Tradition. D cooked us a yummy roast Chicken, since we did a Turkey for Thanksgiving and it was just us we decided a Chicken would do us.

Here are the obligatory photos wearing the paper crowns from the Christmas Crackers.

We hope that where ever you are and what ever you did, your Christmas was whatever you desired. We are really missing the warmth and felt a little home sick this week, have been thinking of you all and wish you all a very Happy New Year.
