Walkathon

This is the little group of us who embarked on a fundraising adventure to raise money for Kiva (microlending) and Heifer International. I am not sure how much we raised in total, I was/am hoping we'll average 100 per child which will be just $600- but will enable us to make a number of loans and a couple of Heifer Donations. If you feel like you'd like to donate, let me know and I'll tell you how - or perhaps you would like to check Kiva out and make your own loan to a Kiva borower, just $25- and all of the $$ go straight to the person you have chosen.

Along the way.

All of us at the half way point, 5 miles (just a little short of the Hartsdale train staition). There was a bench here and I figured this was a good place to stop, rest and turn around.

Every one at the end, you can hardly tell we have just walked 10 miles!

For some reason all of the children jumped in TO's car, I think they were ready to head home and were hoping she'd offer them a swim in her pool - which of course she did which made them all VERY happy.

Here we 4 are at the end of the walk, I think we were all relieved that it was over, than none of us had to catch a train or call a cab and we were all still on our feet at the end.
