KMZE

Lucky, Lucky, Lucky....I am so lucky....

Our friends KMZE came to visit for Christmas...more about that special day in the next post, but this one is all about our day in NYC with them on the 24th. D had to work so it was just me and the chn. We met K in townsville in 1994, then M shortly after and were fortunate to be invited to their wedding, so we have known them for a while. They have two beautiful, delightful children who have to be the most pleasant and polite children I think I have ever met (makes our darling angles look like heathens). Our combined 5 children played beautfully for the entire time they were with us and we had lots of fun catching up, talking, drinking, laughing and eating together.

Children on the train.

A frozen pond in Central Park, in the summer we have sat here and eaten a picnic and and ice cream, NOT today.

Walking through Central Park in the sun. Really, it was quite pleasant.

Me and M and the children (Minus E) and the Woolman rink in the background.

At this point on the south East corner of Central Park there are always huge sculptures and it is always fun to climb on them if you can...and these were perfect for that.

The Rockefeller Centre.

After this we were all so cold, sun in Central Park but none on 5th Avenue and the difference in temp was amazing. We found a starbucks where the coffee was average and the service well below, but we warmed up and stemmed the frozen tears of the littlest ones. JWM and I left KMZE at this point and headed home on the train whilst they braved a subway and the Statten Island Ferry for a look at the Statue of Liberty.
