Any way, we thought we would also try our hand at pumpkin carving after the recent visit to the nature Centre that had wet our apitites for such Autumn fun! We took some time to choose our five pumpkins, carefully selected for just the right shape, we each seemed to have a preference for this and of course the right size.
What do you think of our efforts?

Daddy placing the pumkins in their new home (a temporary one, we figure if we get a week before they begin their ultimate and inevitable demise we will be happy)

The proud and successful pumpkin carvers!

These are the finished pumpkins, settled into place.

This is what the pumpkins look like with a candle and no flash! We were plesantly suprised at how effective they turned out to be, given this was (apart from at the Nature Centre last week) our first attempt, and The children did the majority of the work on their pumpkins all on their own.
