We took two walks, the first on Lake Minnewaska and the second on Ice Caves mountain, they were both moderate and reasonably short although the second one presented a few challenges to the grand parents amongst us. They coped wonderfully and enjoyed the adventure.
The children had a wonderful week end and were sad and sorry to leave and made wishes that we could stay for longer. We will definitely go back there for a weekend next summer and next time we will try to rememebr the fishing rods. Although this time no ome really missed them becasue they had so much else to do.

These photos are of the walk at Sam's Point Preserve to the Ice Caves, it was quite exciting with steps, rocks and ladders. The Ice Cave was interesting but too short and we did not have a torch to properly explore but it was nice and cool in there after the walk.

Morning coffee, dad and Fay

It was raining so we had to have our pre dinner drinks in our cabin, it was a tight squeeze but we managed it.

Night time, the photos of me and of me and doug were taken by W, not too bad despite teh quality of the subject matter and the fact that it was dark and difficult to see into the camera screen.

The Camp Fire

The children loved the opportunity to spend time in the pool, daddy got in with them the first day which was very brave of him since it was pretty cold in the water and there was not much sun out. Some how the children don't seem to feel the cold like I do and spent over an hour each day in the water.

W rescued this grass hopper from the pool and spent a great deal of time taking care of it whilst its wings dried out.

Our neighbour at the camp ground gave the children these electric cars to play with and two battery rechargers so the fun was endless! They all loved it and were driving around like professionals by the end of the week end.
