Our house
We have a nice house but for a couple of days lived in fear of it falling down around our heads. In one day a cupboard door fell off, the microwave became possessed by an alternative life force, a kickbord in the kitchen fell off, the dishwasher refused to empty and the water inside became mankier with every load. Finally Mr D found that the newly installed insinkerator which, incedentally works just fine, had never been drilled to take the dishwasher water through to the drain...a bit of drilling later and all is well. Our land lord will be pleased. Mr D saved him the cost of a service call, he is currently in PortoRico, aparently the place to go for the hollidays (if one does not celebrate Christmas). Mr Landlord and Mrs Landlord are from Israel, he seems very nice. He spent quite a bit of time telling us all about bits and pieces of the house, but neglected to tell Mr D that he would have to open the Flu for the gas fire place in our bedroom (more descriptions of the house later) so after the warm glow of fake logs burning romantically in the bedroom we began to notice a bit of a smell and it was not either of us (True story). next day, we noticed the blackened wall...did a OOOHHHHH, so that is why it smelled so bad,we have to open the flu to let the burnt gas out. Now, I have lots of Enjo with me but forgot to get the lovley fellows to pack marble paste and Mr D is having difficuly removing the stain. Our first repainting job.....
