It is almost bed time - despite the sun outside. How cool is it now that J can read to her brothers, they love it too. We still read almost every night and both boys love to read to us (M kind of improvises still). J reads pretty much all to herself these days which is great.

J and her new keboard, purchased with birthday money from Grandma, she is a singing sensation - so long as she does it in her room!!

M picked out these shirts for him and W, they look so grown up and handsome.

We recieved a visitor to the back yard. We often see these little fellows but they usually run - well, hop away as soon as they see us. This little guy let me get quite close and the children sat and watched him for a while.

J went to a 'Mad Science' birthday party and brought home a ph testing kit. (W and M were given one too) so we comenced immediately the testing of PH in all sorts of things. Shampoo, Tomato Sauce, Mustard, Vinnegar, Bicarb, Milk, OJ and apple juice. They loved it and often come up with ideas of something else we could test.

I hosted the preschool mum's to lunch at the begining of summer, as usuall we had a very nice time, they are lovley and their children are delightful, I am so lucky.

This is the view from Boscobel, it is the Hudson River and you might be able to make out West Point over the other side. I went to see a production of Richard III in a big tent on the lawns of this historic home with some ladies from the new residents club. We had a picnic, then watched the play, it was fantastic. Although I probably would not socialise with these ladies ordinarily, it was nice to get out and see a play and another part of the coutryside.
