In keeping with my road sign photography!, whilst this is not on the scale of the Interstate signs seen previously, it nevertheless was important in its own right and should be accorded due respect.

We only saw part of this fellow's performance so when he finished the children approached him and asked him to do all the things they had missed - they could see his other props on the ground.

The Train Ride

Here are the chidren and Thomas after our train ride.
We have just returned from spending a Day with Thomas the Tank Engine. I had picked this day (3 months ago) because it co-incided with W's birthday. His party is nexty weekend, so stay tuned.
The children had a half day on Friday which worked out perfectly for us. D worked from home in the am and we collected J and W at 12 and sped north for 6 hours. We stayed at a Comfort Inn in Batavia. The night manager of the hotel recommened his Cousins Pizzeria for dinner (it was too busy so we went some where else) and it was quite nice. W made his own pizza, J had mozzerella sticks, M had calimari and D and I had Calzone (which were so huge we brought home half of each of them in a box). I felt really bad though, when we got back to the hotel and the Night Manager was asking about his cousin and did we say that he ahd sent us etc etc. I could barely look him in the eye due to my/our terrible deception.
I will let the photos explain the day with Thomas, except to stay, we all had a relaly nice time, the weather was a little cool which was nice because hot would have been horrible. It was really well organised and although there were alot of people there it all went well and there really were not long lines (apart from the face painting - so we chose tatoos instead).
On Saturday night we did go to the Managers cousins pizzeria (we spoke to the cousin and took a photo just to prove we really did go there!!) and were not dissapointed, the staff were very nice, J and W got to make their own Pizza, D and I shared a Calzone. We used to go to an Italian Restaurant in Adelaide years ago and have Calzone - it has been a while and it was nice to try these. They were both quite different. Tonight we will be having lots of various left overs!!
Photos now.
