The Cloisters are a museum housing original medieval art and architecture, incredibly some one decided to bring to NY a whole bunch of stones, doors, walls cloisters, sculptures, tapestries and paintings many years ago. Sponsored like so many other wonderful things by John D Rockerfeller. It was quite initeresting, some lovely things, the age of them is awe inspiring and the garden is very pretty. The highlight for the girls in the garden was a paif of humming birds. I don't recall ever seeing one in the flesh, they are so tiny, looking like a large butterfly and zooming so fast you only get a glimpse of one. Needless to say I was unable to captrure one with my camera. I did get a bumble bee though, if you look closely at teh purple flowers you can see it.
